Despite a difficult childhood, with the early loss of her mother to cancer when she was only two years old and the inability to live with her alcoholic father, Katie believed in her own success. At the age of 16, she discovered her passion for acting while playing a role in a school play, realizing that she excelled in comedic and funny roles.
Early Career
Katie's first foray into the film industry was in May Zetterling's movie "Scrubbers" in 1983.
